I have worked as a therapist for 5 years at a local behavioral health crisis center as well as in a correctional system.
For some, therapy may seem scary or overwhelming, but all therapy begins by simply talking. I am easy to talk to, a good listener, warm, compassionate, a confidant, optimistic, open-minded, and believe it or not, I actually have a great sense of humor! Cognitive behavior therapy is the approach I use most; however, other approaches will be used depending on your individual need.
