Hello. My name is Tracey Reno and I bring with me, as a Licensed Professional Counselor, a wealth of life experience that has contributed to my passion for helping others. I have had the privilege to work with people from all different backgrounds with vastly different distress and concerns. And although we are each unique individuals with unique stories, one thing we have in common is a vulnerability we feel when taking a chance to share our deep struggles with another person. I get that. It is a difficult decision to make that takes courage and inner strength. Yet the support you will receive in doing so is positively transformative. This is the gift of therapy! A safe space, judgement free zone where you feel heard and treated with positive regard. This is my mission and is how I am dedicated to providing support for each and every person I am fortunate to work with.
My approach is warm, empathetic, and person centered. Meeting people where they are in their readiness for change is where we start. I believe that people are the experts in their own lives and my role is to walk alongside them facilitating insight for the changes they would like to make to live the life they imagine. Empowering people to tap into their strengths to overcome their obstacles sharing the tools that will help them to do so is key. Positive psychology (strength based), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT- addressing negative/distorted thoughts), Mindfulness, Transtheoretical Model (stages of change) and Solution Focused interventions are all those I use. I have experience working with anxiety, panic, social anxiety, depression, weight management, relationship issues, infidelity, divorce, parenting, and stress management.
In closing, a favorite quote that a professor shared during graduate school is one I like to pass along for helpful reflection during times of struggle - "There is nothing wrong with you, that can't be fixed by what is right with you." You can stand up to your obstacles and do something about them with the right support. If you are ready to take the next step, I am happy to work with you to help.

Tracey helped me identify some of the sources of my anxiety and put labels to things that I was feeling. She was available to message or take phone appointments. Would definitely recommend Tracey!
I have tried therapy several other times and never been able to stick to it. I immediately was able to open up to Tracey. She quickly understood me and was able to steer me out of a very dark time in my life. I would definitely recommend Tracy to any family or friend in need.
Easy to talk to with no judgement
Tracey is an excellent listener who is able to respond thoughtfully due to her years of experience. She is a delight! I didn’t know what I was missing in therapy until I started seeing her.
Tracy is very knowledgeable and kind. She has a lot of resources to share. Tracy has a real world approach, and I would say that she is the best talk therapist I have had yet.
Tracey is a great counselor. I believe based on my interactions with her that she truly cares about my well-being
Very pleased so far, I feel like very quickly she understands what I’m saying and helps me dig deeper into it to resolve the issue.
I’ve never tried counseling before. Tracey gets me. I’ve loved our sessions. I would recommend her to anyone!
My few sessions that I’ve had with Tracey have been a great help to my issues, I’ve been dealing with. She has listened and gave me tools to deal with my anxiety and the recent grief and past grief that has came back during the pandemic. After talking to Tracey during my sessions, I feel capable to deal with these issues in my life , with the tools she is supplying me with .
Such a counselor, makes me feel comfortable and understand with all my concerns. And reaches out a lot in between appointments.
I’ve been in therapy a lot. Working with Tracey is different than any other therapist I’ve worked with. She makes me feel heard. Reminds me of previous patterns and offers tangible suggestions to help me do the work to make positive changes. I feel cared for.
Tracey always offers a listening ear and tons of insight into whatever may be happening. It’s been great working with her! She’s an amazing fit for me and I always feel heard!! I’m incredibly thankful for the difference BetterHelp and Tracey have made in my life.
I’ve been working with Tracey for almost 2 years now and it has been a life-changing experience. I felt instantly connected with her because she intently listens, creates a judgement free environment, and provides advice and tools that are easy to understand and implement. I find comfort in knowing I have Tracey by my side when life throws challenges my way and I look forward to continuing my journey with her!
Tracey was incredibly helpful in providing a safe place to discuss important topics! She had great suggestions and suggested many tools to help!
Tracey is understanding and compassionate, which was exactly what I needed. I was nervous to spill my soul to someone who I was not going to interact with in person, but Tracey has made me feel comfortable and listens very well. She has provided me advice and clarity during the times where I have needed it most. I am quite thankful to have met her and would highly recommend her to anyone going through a rough time.
Love hearing Tracey's perspective on things. She has been a lot of help, in a short period of time. I look forward to continuing our sessions.
When Tracey and I first connected I was extremely depressed and overwhelmed with my emotions.
In the 4 months we've been working together I've seen significant improvement. She challenges me to think practically about my issues with solid strategies that really do make a noticeable positive difference in my daily life. I very much appreciate her warm approach, compassionate nature and supportive guidance!
Tracey is an immensely helpful support and I am grateful for her strengths-based approach!
Tracey has been a great help to me. She's very nice and patient. I'm starting to see things from a different perspective and see the ways of my thinking processes I need to change. Change isn't always easy but now I'm seeing how I need to try. I hope to further my treatment with Tracey.
Tracy, has been an extreme asset to my development over the last few months that I notice a huge difference in how I speak to myself and creating stronger relationships with others. I also have no panic attacks or react with strong emotions now when problems arise, I'm using the strategies of cognitive behavioral therapy and practicing self-awareness.
I would 100% recommend Tracy. She is so supportive and understanding with whatever I am having trouble with. Even with certain aspects of my life that aren't her expertise she was very good at calming me down and talking through what I was thinking and alternative ways of getting where I needed. I've seriously adjusted my way of thinking since I started talking to her and I'm so so glad I went through with counseling.
Tracey Reno is AWESOME! She understands me in every aspect. She’s so smart and give the best professional advice. She has given me worksheets that have really helped me learn more about myself. She answers in a timely manner.
Tracey has been a great help in working through my anxieties. She gives me tips and worksheets to help manage difficult anxious moments. I am very thankful for the amount of time she takes to get to know me individually. She is very supportive and has helped me find happiness.
When I had initially decided to seek help using this service, I did have concerns. I had worried that my Counselor would not understand the goals of improved mental health were tied to my Faith as a Christian. I was also worried that my counselor would be judgmental of where I was when I had started.
I can tell you that with Tracey, I was relieved. She listened with a compassionate ear, was never judgmental. She was able to provide counsel, and methods that have helped me progress. Initially, it's difficult to determine anyone's goal with faith or what that means to them--Tracey had clued in rather fast, but also stayed dynamic as my own goals change with counsel. She's been a blessing, and a much appreciated help. I'd recommend her to anyone seeking help, and wanting to work to that end.
I’ve only had Tracey as a therapist for just over a week. Our first session was better than any session I’ve ever had. She was able to gather a lot of info about me and my concerns with life. I felt supported but given amazing techniques to be able to help myself.
Tracey is amazing!!! She listens to me and always follow through with feedback and tools that I can use. She responds timely and is always available when I need her. She is very encouraging and makes me feel like I'm not battling my personal issues alone.
Though I only had one video session and some correspondence via text, Tracy has been a tremendous help to me. She was not only there to hear me, she had the understanding and expertise to help me see my way through some difficult issues in my career and work relationships.
