Hi there! Are you healing from a loss of a loved one? Are you ready to make healthy changes in your life, but you're not quite sure what that looks like and are looking for support and guidance? Are you having questions about your career/current profession and need some guidance? Are you attending college in North Carolina and anxious? As you scroll through everyone, I applaud you for taking this first step. Finding the right fit with a counselor is an important decision.
My experience includes helping people process grief, loss, anxiety, and moving through life's transitions and believe in being supportive, curious, compassionate, with a good sense of humor. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor, I use an eclectic approach of Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Psychodynamic, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative, and Humanistic (client-centered) theories. And, thirteen years as a former community college psychology and sociology teacher helps bring an even greater understanding to our sessions.
***In addition, please reach out if you are a writer/artist, teacher, or fellow counselor/therapist, as I am familiar and have experience in all three worlds.
One of my unique specialties is in pet loss grief and as an author, I wrote my first novel, BURIED DEEP IN OUR HEARTS, to help people with their healing process. I enjoy traveling with my husband, being outside or near animals whenever possible, good music and movies/shows, and am owned by one cat named Oliver Monkey.
Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to connect. Counseling can be difficult at times, but it is some of the most important and rewarding work you'll ever do. It takes courage to move beyond your comfort zone.
Take good care of yourself, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Tracie has been helpful in the few short weeks that I've been seeing her. She listens well, is empathic and has helped me to not be afraid of expressing myself fully.
I think Tracie is a excellent therapist. She has helped me immensely in understanding my mind and working to nurture what I have control over.
Tracie is very professional and kind. She is a good listener and provides helpful feedback and tools to work through emotions and issues. She has been a truly wonderful counselor through difficult times.
I have been able to make so much progress since the first time I met with Tracie. She has been very sympathetic and compassionate towards me and what I am going through. I have become much more knowledgeable about my mental health and how to cope with certain situations. I am so glad I was paired with Tracie!
Tracie is excellent! I met with Tracie for the first time today and she helped me process and make a lot of progress toward clarifying what I want my next life chapter to look like. Tracie did such a great job helping me process and explore. She is an excellent listener and I look forward to talking to her again in the future!
