Troy J Miles, LPC
About me
Hello, my name is Troy J. Miles, MA, LPC, ADC-IP, EMDR. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina with over sixteen years of professional experience in the field of mental health. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology and have been actively involved in community outreach, including co-founding an Addiction Recovery Program.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Family Systems Theory. I am also formally trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have experience supporting individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, anger-related concerns, adjustment to life stressors or crises, obsessive-compulsive disorder, family conflict, and the effects of childhood disruptions.
My professional background includes training and practice in personality, developmental, and cognitive assessment. In my clinical work, I strive to balance a direct and goal-oriented style with empathy, acceptance, and a non-judgmental approach. I believe everyone deserves a therapeutic space where they can be authentic, respected, and supported.
I am honored to work collaboratively with clients to identify effective therapeutic strategies that align with their individual goals. Together, we will focus on fostering insight, resilience, and meaningful change to support improved emotional well-being.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
Warm regards,
Troy J. Miles, MA, LPC, ADC-IP, EMDR
