About me

Troy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned his Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Capella University in 2019. He has experience working with individuals of all ages who are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-harm, and suicide ideation. He has a special interest in working with clients who have experienced traumatic events that are negatively impacting various aspects of their lives. Troy draws from a wide variety of therapy models to help his clients to meet their therapeutic goals, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Restructuring, Narrative Exposure, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He believes that ALL individuals are capable of growth, and that it is the role of the therapist to provide a trusting, safe, and supportive environment to help in the facilitation of that growth. In his spare time, Troy enjoys cooking (never had any complaints!), gardening, exercising, and spending time with his family and friends.
