About me

Welcome to Better Help!  My name is Tynisha Jointer and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years  of experience in the Chicago land area.  I want to start by saying "It's OK not to be OKAY"!  As your therapist, I hope to first and foremost focus on building a safe environment for you to share and most importantly be heard. I want you to know that I value you and your experience and commit to meeting you where you are and supporting you to become who YOU hope to be.  We can navigate your journey using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindful Practices, Solution- Focused Therapy,  Guided Help, and/or Counseling.  

I come to you with over 10 years of experience  in psychotherapy support across all demographics and communities. I hold a Masters in Social Worker and a Masters in Education. I am certified in Social and Emotional Learning, Mindfulness Practices, and Trauma.  I have worked with clinics with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, workplace stress, relationship- attachment/detachment, trauma - direct and indirect, as well as civil unrest.
