About me
You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward after difficult life experiences. Perhaps past trauma, relationship challenges, or major life transitions have left you feeling stuck, disconnected, or struggling with self-worth. You do not have to navigate these experiences alone.
I became a therapist because I wanted individuals to feel truly seen, heard, respected, and valued—experiences I did not always have in my own early life. Being able to create that safe, validating, and empowering space for others is both my passion and my purpose.
I have experience working in community mental health agencies, residential treatment facilities, and private practice. I work with individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, ADHD, anger management, domestic violence, relationship and intimate partner challenges, life transitions, sexual abuse recovery, disordered eating, and low self-esteem. I also support clients from diverse backgrounds, including those navigating multicultural identity, minority stress, and LGBTQ+ experiences.
At Perspective Counseling & Consultation, my approach is collaborative, supportive, and client-centered. I integrate techniques such as EMDR-informed therapy, mindfulness practices, grounding and breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, motivational interviewing, role-playing, exposure strategies, and cognitive-behavioral strategies. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Hope Therapy, and Diabetical Therapy when appropriate. When meaningful to the client, I integrate music or faith-informed perspectives into sessions.
I am EMDR-trained, have completed additional seminars on grief and loss, and continue trauma-focused education through the Trauma Institute. I am proud to be a Star Behavioral Health Provider Tier 3, working with military veterans to support their unique needs.
