I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor in New York State. I mostly have experience in working with adults. I also have experience working with couples and families. Some clinical issues I have the most experience in include substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and stress management.
My main focus in my treatment approach centers around the establishment of a therapeutic relationship with the person I'm working with. I feel that having a good connection helps facilitate effective counseling and provides the best outcomes from the therapy process. I always strive to be supportive, compassionate, and present with individuals throughout their therapy . I believe it is essential to meet the individual where they are at and respect where they would like to see themselves in the future with the help of therapy. I feel that it is always possible to reach one's goals it is simply a question of how you can get to that point.
I have always felt that it is essential to work collaboratively with each individual on their treatment goals. I feel that open communication regarding what therapeutic techniques and approaches work best for the person allow for success in the therapy process.
My counseling style combines a variety of therapy techniques to help individuals reach their therapeutic goals. It is quite beneficial to focus on one's strengths and coping skills that can be used to help work through difficult times.
I believe that each individual has the ability to overcome difficult or trying times, therapy can help one to see different approaches and perspectives that can allow for additional growth and increase insight.

Vicki Wolfe is a really great listener and a supportive therapist. I felt very comfortable with her, and she helped me work through something difficult I was going through. I would definitely recommend her to others.
Only had one sessions - she listens and responds well.
Vicki is always there to help me and asks me the right questions when I am feeling down to get me out of a certain mindset.
Vicki is engaged and realistic. She's a great listener and VERY GOOD at keeping you on-task toward your goals without getting sucked into drama, no matter how entertaining it is to others.
Vicki listens attentively and helps me work through my feelings and obstacles without pushing me rather assisting me in working through how I’m feeling. I’m happy I have her.
Vicki was instrumental in helping me deal with problems I had not been able to deal with successfully in over 10 years. Her expertise and patience helped me see what mistakes I was making in my thinking and the things that were causing me problems. I think if she was able to help me, she can help anyone!
She was very helpful and optimistic. Sometimes I felt as though she was just telling me things will work out, everything is fine, instead of actually acknowledging my feelings and what I was saying to her. Overall very compassionate and understanding.
Vicki is the best! Hands down.
Vickie understood my sadness and helped me without being heavy handed or judgemental.
Vicki was always read with resources to support me. She kept checking up on me when I wasn't showing up to the sessions and tried to work around my hectic schedule.
