Victoria Cowgill
About me
Hello, thank you for reading.
Sometimes life can be hard and there are moments when we may feel hopeless, overwhelmed, lost or stuck.
When your feeling distressed or worried, a confidential place, where being listened to, can feel like a life raft, so becoming a helpful starting point.
Perhaps you feel anxious, worried, overwhelmed, or confused by recent or past life events. It is common to feel stuck; find yourself repeating negative patterns and making the same unhelpful life choices, or struggles with relationships.
I am a UK licensed and accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist , Counselling trainer and Clinical Supervisor, with extensive, professional experience with both private and NHS clients.
To introduce myself, I initially trained in Person Centred Therapy, before completing an Integrative Counselling Degree- BSC (1st Class Hons). I've also completed a Psychotherapy qualification and work with historical issues, attachment and relationships, as well as Stress Management, Mindfulness and Breathwork. So hopefully I feel I have many techniques to help.
I currently work and specialised in areas of Anxiety & Depression, relationships and trauma, abuse, addiction and PTSD among many others.
I use these skills to help you feel safe, heard and understood, without judgement. I hope that sounds like what you're looking for?
I will be treating you with care and respect to build a positive therapeutic relationship with you, to find out what you want and what you need. These wide range of approaches and techniques will find the most suitable approach for you.
We will do this by working in a confidential space, to explore together what is going on for you. I won’t tell you what to do, as it's not my place; rather we will work together to help you find a clearer perspective and move forward and regain control.
It might help to know I have considerable experience helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, anxiety and depression, panic attacks, self-esteem, bullying, domestic violence, anger issues, BPD, chronic illness, cancer and terminal diagnosis, together with many other difficult emotional issues.
I l know taking the first step in starting therapy can take courage and I am here to help you get started!

I cannot recommend Victoria highly enough. She is an extremely experienced therapist and an incredible listener. What sets her apart is her ability to bridge the gap between deep psychological theory and daily life; she takes the time to explain the science behind my experiences while providing practical tools to address challenges in real-time. I consistently leave our sessions with valuable insights and clear action steps.
