About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience working in many different settings and with many diverse clients. Every person has been unique and every issue has been important.
I graduated from the University of Miami in 1993 with an education in the classic forms of psychotherapy, including humanistic, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and family therapy. In addition I have maintained my education through continuing to attend seminars and conferences in many areas. I have worked extensively in the fields of depression, anxiety, stress and anger management, and recovery from addictive problems (including becoming well-versed in twelve-step programs, which I respect a great deal.) In the years since then I have lived and learned more every day. I’ve learned to be pretty sure of what I do know, and also to recognize what I don’t know – but will try to figure out.
I’ve learned that what’s most important is to approach every human being with an open mind, honestly, directly, creatively, and as one human being to another. On that basis, and with a growing level of trust, hopefully I can work together with each person to help them gain insight, identify goals, and find ways to clear obstacles along the path of the journey which they decide is the right one for them.
I am always happy to explain more, or to answer questions if you should decide to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for your consideration,
Victoria

I really like working with Victoria. She is really attentive and provides me with valuable feedback. I would sometimes ask her to challenge me on some of my opinions. She does this exercise in a way that promotes a discussion for me to revaluate my stance. I highly recommend Victoria as a therapist.

Among all the therapists i have worked with, Victoria digs deep to the core to find out my issues. She finds what is best for me and works with me on this. Victoria is able to carry the conversation very well.
