Wendy Sharpless, LPC
About me
Hello, my name is Wendy Sharpless. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I have been working in the mental health field since 2010, and I have been licensed since 2018. I graduated from Seton Hall University with a MA and EdS in Professional Counseling in 2014.
My approach to counseling is based on solutions and is unique to each individual client. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as evidence-based approaches to treatment. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with various Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (excluding OCD). I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and have extensive experience in treating Mood Disorders, Suicidality, Self-Harm, ADHD, Autism/Aspergers, School Issues, and Grief.
Over the years, I have gained invaluable experience in diverse mental health settings, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential, and partial care. I have worked with clients ranging from 3-year-olds to adults up to 64 years old. My current focus is on clients aged 11-60 years.
I am passionate about tailoring treatment to my clients' specific concerns and needs, and I look forward to working with you.
I have early afternoon availability.
