Wendy Clare, BACP
About me
I am an accredited UK counsellor with 12 years of professional experience. Over that time, I have helped many clients from all walks of life and with different issues. Some have wanted help to cope with stress, anxiety or depression and find that talking things through and discovering which coping techniques work for them can make a huge difference. I have worked with people dealing with all types of life changes, where decisions might be hard to make, or they are just lost and the direction is uncertain. Together we explore what is important and how changes can be made. I have also counselled many who come because bereavement, grief and loss are hard to live with. I believe in treating everyone equally with respect, sensitivity, and compassion as we all deserve. As a person-centred counsellor I will work alongside you to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you through those first steps and beyond.

Wendy has been a great help. She helps me understand why I feel the way I do, the triggers and as importantly, various mechanisms to cope, adjust and tackle.

I am returning to Therapy after going through the counselling process before. I have only had 2 sessions with Wendy so far but she strongly encouraged me to message her between sessions too and has provided me with material to read which I can respond to via the messaging facility. This is very helpful as we all have good and bad days and I’m able to update here with anything I’m thinking, feeling or doing and she responds when she is able to. I feel very at ease with her which I feel is vital for me to be able to be fully open about my thoughts how I’m feeling. I am very happy with how things are going so far

Wendy is my favorite therapist even though she is the only one I had. She is wise and gives very good advice. I also learned a lot about stuff I’m interested in, for example ADHD and procrastination. Wendy seems like a genuine and intelligent person it was really easy to open up to her.
