Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania with over 5 years of experience working as a clinical mental health counselor. I have worked with clients in diverse settings and with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, sexuality and gender issues, relationship issues, grief, and trauma . My experience has taught me the strength of each individual and the interconnectedness we are all a part of.
I believe that counseling is a partnership. My counseling approach combines a person-centered, strengths-based, and positive psychology foundation with evidence based interventions that draw from models such as CBT, DBT, ACT, REBT, and TF-CBT. In other words, I approach counseling with a focus on you: the uniqueness of who you are, the opinions and views you hold of the world, and how the choices you have made have helped you survive and gotten you this far. I provide warmth and a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, no matter what they may be. I am not afraid to have challenging conversations focused on positive change and am committed to offering support, empowerment, and compassion every step of the way.
You have taken a bold, brave step toward living your best life...the only way out is through!
I look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Wendy Gaunt. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Wendy has literally been a life-saver for me. She has put up with on-again off-again therapy sessions with my crazy self for 3-4 years and she has always provided excellent feedback and clear cut direction for me in times of deep confusion and need.
Wendy is amazing and took my therapy to a much higher level then I ever received with in person counseling.
Wendy is kind, supportive, gentle, and helps me to uncover insights and see things from different angles, allowing me to develop new perspective and process my feelings. She's a great and active listener, always sincere but has a wonderful sense of humor. I'm so glad I ended up with Wendy as my counselor!
I really benefited from Wendy’s sessions last year...she gave me some tools & a framework to help me to navigate through some issues with my relationship & life.
She is always concerned about me, she listens and understands me but also helps me understand things to. She doesn't judge me for how I feel or if I make a bad decision.
Wendy is so amazing! After trying a few therapists and not really feeling a connection with anyone, I was starting to lose hope, but within minutes of talking to Wendy, I knew she was the perfect fit! She is attentive, supportive, and offers great insight. And she seems to really care about what is going on in my life and asks great questions. Would absolutely recommend her!
Wendy is a wonderful counselor. She is a great listener and asks insightful, thought provoking questions. Her warm, compassionate manner makes me feel comfortable and supported, but not coddled, on my journey for personal growth. She is responsive in messaging, checks in when she hasn't heard back, and works around her client's needs. She takes the time to understand who you are, what you're coming from, and what you're looking to get out of counseling/ how to achieve it together. I am so pleased to have been matched with Wendy and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
She was very thoughtful and attentive. Took notes which made me feel much mor confident in her interest in helping me.
Compassionate and kind.
Wendy is wonderful, good listener and her responses provoke me to think in the ways I need to wok on a problem succesfully.
Wendy is great. She listens well and responds in a way that shows she understands, without just repeating back what I said. She asks thoughtful questions that makes me think about my own views/opinions. She’s also very friendly.
Wendy is understanding, kind, patient, and caring. She knows the right questions to ask, listens without judgement, and empowers me every step of the way. I’m so thankful to have finally found a therapist that I can connect with and truly feel heard by - I highly recommend Wendy to anyone seeking guidance and support.
She is understanding when it comes to personal situations. She doesn't take one side over the other or is biased which makes me comfortable.
Wendy is thoughtful, down to earth, and easy to talk to.
Wendy is amazing. She has a gift for this.
Wendy is a great counselor. This is my first experience with any counseling and better help. Wendy listens to me and provides feedback and suggestions for me. She understands my feelings and my thought process.
