About Me

I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience. My holistic and down to earth approach helps me connect with clients. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, which is great for clients who need to address symptoms now and humanistic orientations for clients coping with grief/loss, trauma, and other concerns that require an emotion focused approach. I have experience with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and AHDH. I can assist in developing boundaries, communication skills, and anger management. I have worked with juveniles in correctional facilities, adults and elderly clients with life transitions in the community, teens and adults through intensive outpatient programs, adults and teens in inpatient hospitalization programs, and private practice. I have over 6 years of providing telehealth services, so I am very comfortable with this type of service and can help you gain comfort as well.

I have a special interest in human sexuality. I am a kink aware therapist and an advocate for positive sexual growth. I enjoy working with LBGTQIA, BDSM, Poly, and Swing communities. I encourage exploration, communication, and boundaries in a manner that is empowering and fun. Intimacy and sexuality can be difficult topics to work with, I provide a comfortable environment for you and will help you through your most intimate concerns.

Wendy is fantastic. She hears me, understands me, but then challenges me in a very gentle and caring way. I’ve felt better just knowing I have a fantastic resource supporting me.

She listens and has great advice so far. She doesn’t hesitate to challenge me gently if she feels the need to. I love that he isn’t just telling what I want to hear. She also it’s great at having practical exercises that can help me in the areas that I need to improve not just talking. Although our sessions so far have been very helpful. I really like her and she has already helped me feel a bit more on a path to improving and we’ve only been working together for a few weeks. Very impressed. She’s also very kind which I love

I’ve never had therapy before and needed it pretty immediately. Wendy made it an easy and approachable experience. She’s amazing at following up if I go radio silent, which I really appreciate.
