About Me

Hello!
My name is Whitney Jenerette and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Doctoral student in Counseling Education and Supervision with skills and training in evidence-based practices. I primarily use Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy that focus on the unique needs of the individual. During my 4 years of experience, I have specialized experience in several areas including depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma especially in urban settings. I enjoy working with individuals who are new to the therapy process and who are willing to work toward goals. I am aware that it is not always easy to address problems in life and to develop strategies and plans to improve the future so I am here to offer hope, empathy, and support.
I look forward to working with you.

My counselor is one of the few people I hold which respect for and trust in. She cares about my feelings and it's like I have someone only on my side. She's been the one person to help me not break during a terrible time in my life. She's very intelligent and it's not just her professionalism but she relates well, she's human and genuine at that. I would recommend her to Anyone needing a qualified amazing counselor. I don't know what I would have done without her the past few months. I truly value her beyond words. She is extremely knowledgeable and your company is very fortunate to have someone with her skill and abilities as an asset.
