About me

As a licensed counselor in the UK with eight years of clinical experience, I bring a wealth of expertise to our counseling journey. My journey in the counseling field began in 2004 when I embarked on training at United Churches Healing Ministry in Huddersfield, England. Throughout my career, I have engaged in clinical practice at reputable institutions such as The Magdalene Project in Bacup, Lancashire, and Maundy Relief Counselling Service in Accrington. Following my qualification as a counselor, I remained committed to both services as a core counselor until 2013.

I have extensive experience working with diverse populations, including the LGBT community and couples. Additionally, for those seeking faith-based support, I offer Christian counseling, integrating spiritual principles with therapeutic practices to provide a compassionate and holistic approach.

In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about advocacy and education surrounding addiction. During a sabbatical, I authored and published four books on addiction while simultaneously serving as a voluntary administrator for the Facebook group Partners of Alcoholics.

My counseling approach is integrative, drawing from person-centered techniques, psychodynamic insight, and Transactional Analysis. I firmly believe in your autonomy and strengths as the expert of your own narrative. Together, we can navigate challenges and embark on a journey towards fulfillment and happiness.

I am British; however, I also offer sessions in Spanish and French. With a degree in languages, professional interpreting qualifications, and over 35 years of experience as a linguist, I am dedicated to providing inclusive and accessible counseling services.

In the past year, I've had the privilege of assisting 400 clients from all over the world on their journey towards well-being and personal growth. It's been incredibly rewarding to witness their progress and resilience, and I look forward to continuing to support individuals globally in reaching their therapeutic goals.
