About Me

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Billy and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina. I have been working with those facing mental health challenges for 20 years.

I have helped my clients face a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, career struggles, interpersonal concerns, LGBTQ issues, as well as grief and loss. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical and emotional trauma.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive counseling utilizing reality therapy techniques to develop goals. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek help for a more fulfilling and happier life. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I would consider it a great honor to be a part of your journey towards positive change.

I’ve only just recently started using Better Help. I was a bit nervous at first because I had no idea what it would be like. Starting out I appreciated how accessible Erwin was with messaging, on the phone I felt I was able to talk without judgement but rather have someone who was actually listening to me and helping me understand the situation when I was uncertain. I appreciate all that has been done and am glad I decided to take this step.
