About me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 2010
and have clinical experience with positions at UCSF and government agencies. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Counseling, with concentrations in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling (MFCC) and Gerontology.

Throughout my career, I have supported individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, anger management, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, communication issues, and existential crises. I also have experience working with individuals managing substance use and psychosis.

I believe that you are the expert of your own story and possess the strengths that will help you navigate and overcome life's challenges. Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling life takes both courage and effort. While challenges may feel overwhelming at times, they also offer valuable opportunities for growth.

I welcome individuals from all walks of life and am here to support you on your journey.

Yoshiko is incredibly caring and an outstanding therapist—the best I’ve ever had. She’s highly knowledgeable and has provided me with valuable resources that have truly helped me manage my anxiety. Even though my life has become more busy lately, I feel so much better than I did before starting therapy with her. I no longer feel afraid to face life!
