About me

My name is Adam Hewitt and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Missouri. I have been passionate about seeing people rise above their struggles for as long as I can remember. I prefer a laid back and honest approach, which I believe is important in building a therapeutic relationship that works. I am open to working with anyone to get a good foothold in life, though recognize that trust and understanding are critical to forming a strong bond between therapist and client. As such, if I believe that someone out there can offer you more help and support than I can, then I won't hesitate to do what is right for you.
My goal is to take people who have a hard time seeing their path and help lead them to it. I enjoy seeing the expressions on people’s faces when I can help the finally realize how powerful they truly are. Powerful over their fears. Powerful over their addictions. Powerful over their lives.
I practice from a strength’s based perspective. This complements my belief that we all have strengths that can empower us to become the director of our own life’s goals. I have worked specifically in trauma, addiction, and systemic oppression to fulfill my own goal of sending people out into the world to help build better communities.
I don’t work for an agency. I work for you. My first promise is that I will allow you to drive the vehicle of change in your own life. You are the expert on you, and I am just here to help you navigate. I hope that my openness and unconditional positive regard will allow you to feel trusted and empowered to live the life that you know you deserve to live.

He’s always been there when I have to much on my mind and gives me great feedback on why I’m possibly thinking the way I do and how to combat negative thoughts
