Hello there, I'm Adam Hewitt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Missouri. I have been with BetterHelp since 2021 and help run a non-profit outpatient substance abuse clinic that I co-founded. I've always had a strong desire to help people overcome their challenges. When it comes to therapy, I like to keep things friendly and honest because I believe that's the best way to build a good relationship with you.
My goal is to guide anyone who might be feeling lost and help them find their way. It's incredibly rewarding to see the joy on people's faces when they realize just how strong they can be, whether it's facing their fears, overcoming addictions, or taking control of their lives.
In my therapeutic approach, I focus on your strengths. I truly believe that everyone has innate abilities that can help them achieve their life goals. I've worked significantly with people dealing with trauma, addiction, and the challenges of systemic oppression. My aim is to help individuals become empowered to go out into the world feeling in charge of their lives.
I'm don't consider myself to work for an agency; I'm here for you. My main promise is to let you take the lead in making changes in your life. You know yourself better than anyone, and I'm just here to support you on your journey. My hope is that my openness and positive attitude will make you feel trusted and inspired to live the life you deserve.
