My name is Adrienne Parker and I’ve worked in the field of mental health for over 8yrs providing individual, group, and family therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I’ve always been fascinated with studying and interpreting behavior and knew as a child that I wanted to study the mind. I studied Clinical Mental Health at Chicago State University and graduated with my Masters in 2012. I gained valuable experience working in Hospital Emergency Depts (Crisis Team), Psychiatric Hospitals, Residential Treatment Centers, Private offices, Group Homes, and in the Community. I moved to Houston Texas 5yrs ago where I still serve the mental health needs of clients in a community setting.
I am culturally competent having worked with a variety of populations, backgrounds, and lifestyles. I have provided therapy and treatment to all ages and a range of diagnoses and issues such as: Depression, Anxiety, Youth Substance Abuse, Anger Management, Mood Disorders, Adjustment Disorder, Childhood PTSD/Trauma, Character Skill Building/Self Esteem, ODD, Stress Reduction, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Parents of Children with Special Needs. I am open to discussing interfaith matters, as well as issues and concerns within the LGBTQ community.
My therapeutic approach is honest, direct, and effective. My clinical approach is client centered, goal oriented, and solution focused including: Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Imago Relationship Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychotherapy, Brief Therapy, Art Therapy, and Nurturing Parent. I am comfortable and fully qualified to work with all ages and phases of life, but specifically have a passion for working with children, adolescents, and teens. Make your next move your best move.

I tried therapy before but I never felt understood and/or listened to. Based on that experience I gave up on it. Decided to try therapy once again and I was matched with Adrienne . We connected instantly! I loved how I could express myself, she knew exactly what I was trying to say when I couldn’t even put it in words, she called me out on my faults and applauded me on my greatness. I seriously loved how honest she was with me every single session. She got me to discover things about myself, trauma I still had not overcome and slowly minimize toxic coping mechanisms which affected all my relationships.
