About me
My mission is to provide judgement-free guidance to families in need of effective behavior management for children. Using a strengths-based perspective, I help parents choose the right tools to fit their needs and the needs of their children with the goal of preserving, restoring, or rebuilding positive relationships.
On paper, I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College; in practice, I have applied training experience in a wide range of settings including acute residential treatment centers, hospitals, schools, and correctional facilities.
For over 15 years, I guided pediatricians in the care of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues through the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Project at Tufts Medical Center. During my tenure there, I was introduced to "Incredible Years" and "Triple P" and "Positive Discipline
- three key evidence-based curricula that form the basis for my consulting practice. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with people in diverse contexts and have served a wide variety of populations, which makes me confident that I can help families find the appropriate techniques and approaches for their individual needs. On a personal level, I am now challenged to “practice what I preach,” in the evolution of my relationships with my own two young boys.
