Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alisa Branch. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
When I first began working with Alisa, I was facing a great deal of uncertainty. The possibility of losing my job after many years of service brought fear, self-doubt, and anxiety about my future. Like many people in that situation, I found myself caught in a cycle of negative self-talk, constantly questioning my abilities and preparing myself for rejection before it had even happened.
Alisa has been instrumental in helping me change that.
Rather than simply encouraging me to "think positively," she has taught me practical, evidence-based strategies for managing my thoughts in a realistic and healthy way. Through our sessions, along with the articles, worksheets, and videos she has recommended, I've learned how to recognize my inner critic, challenge distorted thinking, separate facts from emotions, and replace harsh self-judgment with more balanced and compassionate perspectives. These aren't just ideas discussed during therapy—they are skills I use every day.
One of the things I appreciate most about Alisa is that she creates a space where I never feel judged. She listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and helps me arrive at my own insights instead of telling me what I should think or feel. She understands that uncertainty cannot always be eliminated, but she has shown me that I can learn to navigate it with greater confidence and resilience.
Our work together has extended beyond helping me prepare for a job search. It has changed the way I relate to myself. I've become more aware of how my thoughts influence my emotions, more accepting of setbacks as a normal part of growth, and more willing to move forward even when I don't know the outcome. Instead of seeing rejection as proof of failure, I'm learning to view it as one step in a much larger journey.
Perhaps the greatest gift Alisa has given me is not simply helping me cope with my current circumstances, but equipping me with tools that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The techniques she has taught me for managing negative self-talk, practicing acceptance, and building emotional resilience will continue to benefit me long after my current challenges have passed.
I am genuinely grateful for her guidance, professionalism, and compassion. If you are looking for a therapist who combines empathy with practical, research-based strategies that create lasting change, I wholeheartedly recommend Alisa.

Alisa is great at getting one to open up about your current state, but also what your long term goals are. She helps one through what she refers to as "mental gymnastics" to get one to recognize negative thoughts or self talk, be aware, nip it in the bud/redirect your thoughts or remind yourself of positive truths. She has helped me take actionable steps towards my goals by digging into interests versus passions, challenging me to do different forms of exposure therapy to some of my triggers, and discussing hard truths that society brushes over.
