Allen Gholston responds in a timely manner to all questions, is open and accepting of all lifestyles and identities, and is compassionate towards their patients and their problems. Gholston's approach towards treating patients is oriented towards mindfulness, patient accountability in helping themselves with advice received through therapy, as well as general Cognitive Behavioral Therapy style treatment. Overall, they are an open minded, accepting, and caring therapist whom I would recommend to anyone who fits their treatment style and areas of expertise.

Patient, understanding, relatable. Some therapist feel like robots in human skin who were programmed to replicate empathy, this is not the case here. Authentically empathetic without being “too much”. Actionable suggestions that feel inspiring without the taste of false hope.

Professional without being cold, insightful without being aloof, helpful without being coddling, and most importantly attentive and supportive. He possesses the rare (in my opinion) capacity to know when it is best to speak and when it is best to listen. I would encourage anyone considering him to be your therapist to know he won't just listen to your pain, he actively support you in trying to be better. He helped me be at peace with making some serious life altering decisions and that is something I will always be thankful for.
