I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina. In 2018, I obtained my graduate degree at the Joint Master of Social Work Program at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I have three years of experience in individual and group therapy. Prior to obtaining my graduate degree, I worked in the mental health field for six years. My past work includes supporting people experiencing homelessness, veterans, and volunteering with a suicide prevention and crisis hotline. I have been following my passion for helping others for nearly a decade.
I use the evidence-based practices of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to assist people in reaching their therapy goals. My therapeutic style is person-centered, empathetic and non-judgmental. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I provide therapeutic relationships that will both facilitate healing and assist you in finding the right tools for empowerment and growth. I have extensive experience in treating clients with depression, anxiety, and social phobia.
It takes strength and courage to reach out when we are struggling with mental health issues and I have great respect and compassion for everyone who seeks therapy. I appreciate you taking the time to read my profile. I hope to connect with you soon!

Amber is the best. Absolutely as good as you could ever ask for. She is tremendously supportive of me and knows exactly what I need to be successful. Since connecting with her this past year, I can honestly say I’ve made more positive ground than in all the other years of therapy and counseling combined. I highly recommend Amber.

Amber has a lot of empathy for how you are feeling and tries to use her professional and personal experience to help you not feel alone and work through your insecurities. I felt that I connected very well with her and that I also found a friend in a way. I am very grateful for the time she was my therapist.

Amber is the therapist that you are desperately looking for, but never thought you would find, and that alone may have stopped you from beginning therapy. That was true for me.
Her warmth, perceptiveness, and empathy gives you hope. Her understanding and application empowers you, but yet the power comes from within you, as it should. That is therapy at its finest. Shes serious but humorous also, which helps the healing and growing process a ton.
Amber has helped to restore me to the human I am today, and I never thought that was possible.
Thank you Amber.

Some people are naturally better at supporting others. It’s a gift that few have, and it’s something that lends to making someone a good therapist. Amber has been this for me, a support when I needed one. Even if I’m able to stand on my own most of the time, it’s nice to know someone else is invested in my struggles, and my healing process. She says things every session that stick in my head, that I refer to when I need throughout the week. Suggestions, tips, or just saying something I needed to hear. I appreciate having found her.

She has given me strategies to cope with anxiety and has reminded me to be fair to myself. I would definitely recommend her.
