My name is Amberlyn Keller. My education background includes: I have a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology from York College in Nebraska, a master’s of arts degree in Applied Research Psychology from The University of Texas of the Permisn Basin in Odessa, Texas, a second master’s of art degree in School Counseling from University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas and I completed my License Professional Counselor (LPC) classes through Lamar University through online education.
I have 13 years teaching experience at all levels of education including special education as well as teaching experience at the college level teaching psychology courses online for five years for Midland College from 2005-2010 as a part-time adjunct teacher. I have been counseling since 2015 when I started to complete practium and internship hours for certification in school counseling followed by hours needed for LPC, respectively. I am fully licensed in the state of Texas as a LPC and have experience working in private practice as well as in a behavioral psychatric hospital.
I like to focus on client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and have a realist approach to counseling. I also believe working through grief and trauma is important in moving forward in life. Mindfulness and yoga practices along with the use of essential oils can help with this. I believe each meeting with a client is a conversation that serves a purpose where the client can talk things out, think things through and grow. I love to work with children and adults and enjoy incorporating physical activity, yoga, deep breathing and mindfulness meditation into counseling sessions.
I look forward to working with others and hope to provide a service of counseling that can make a person feel better or at least gain some perspective each time there is a visit.

Amberlyn Keller has been instrumental in my mental health growth. She was kind, considerate and patient through my frustrations. She was able to intelligently pinpoint issues I was having and to gracefully help me realize them myself. She recognized my values and honored them, incorporating them into her treatment. She gave me practical tools that I could apply to my everyday life and helped me understand the steps to implement them. I am honored that I have been able to work with her these past few months.
Amberlyn is amazing and very helpful. She is sweet and truly helps. The way she connects and how she reacts and communicates is perfect. I have Had some bad experience and I am very happy with her!

I highly recommend Amberlyn- she is a wonderful listener and has offered great resources for assisting me in my path to wellness. She is warm, caring and calming with great insight. I also very much appreciate her spiritual faith being incorporated in her professional counseling, which is what I was looking for and she is spot on in doing so combined with traditional counseling.
