About Me
Hi. My name is Amelia and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I have been in practice for 19 years. My service areas include working with those with chronic medical illness, adjustment to life transitions, family issues, depression, anxiety, educational and employment concerns.
My goal is to provide a safe environment to discuss concerns, set goals, problem solve, and focus on the areas that you believe are important. I treat everyone with respect, dignity, and compassion. I am sensitive to your needs and realize that change is difficult.
My counseling style is easy going, direct, and adding a sense of humor when appropriate. I like to focus on the strengths that you already bring to the table We can work together to reach your goals and incorporating tools that you can use in the future.
I primarily offer morning weekend sessions to accommodate those who are working, and occasionally have early evening week day openings. I look forward to working with you!

Amelia has been a great help for me during the rough patch I am currently going through in life.
Offers warm support, consistent & active listening!
I didn't know how I would do going into therapy. I didn't have a way of communicating what it is that I was feeling and I didn't know how to express it to anyone. Amelia was able to help me with that and recognize what was at the core of each issue and help me identify what issues are bothering me.
She is attentive, listens, asks questions, and offers various ways of looking at things for you to help you find what you need.
Able to be open minded and listen to my needs and concerns and suggestions
For my initial visit she was attentive and recognized my needs..
Amelia is the counselor I have been looking for! She understands my needs and gives me actual tips and activities to try that help me achieve me goals or lessen symptoms. She is encouraging, understanding and perfect for someone looking for more goal driven or action and behavior based sessions.
Amelia has offered me helpful insight into my emotions and thought process. She’s kind, good at communicating, and offers a diverse set of tools for coping.
Amelia has been great and has helped me through a difficult time.
Talking with Amelia feels like talking with a friend except this friend is completely unbiased and endlessly supportive. I find her very easy to be vulnerable and honest with. She’s really flexible with my ever-changing schedule and checks in even when we don’t have a scheduled talk, especially when she knows I have something important or stressful going on. I highly recommend Amelia and Betterhelp in general to anyone looking to help themselves!
