I have been practicing mental health and substance abuse counseling for 29 years. I believe that my approach is warm and passionate. I believe that therapy is a collaborative approach between the therapist and client. My specializations and experience include working with clients with addictions, depression, work related issues, mood disorders, anxiety, self-worth/self-esteem issues, family conflict and other issues. In my years of treating various clients, I have found that one major similarity is how unkind clients can be to themselves as compared to how they are to others. My goal is to help them see how they manifest this lack of self-compassion and self-love. By empowering clients to be aware of this behavior and other unhealthy behaviors, clients make better decisions, engage in healthier relationships, and see the world in a more positive way. I hope that I will have the opportunity to share this experience with you.

She’s very good I like her
Amy has pushed me in a way I thought someone over video could never do. She has proven me wrong, and I'm grateful.
Amy is the first therapist I have had who actually asks me questions and makes me think through issues. She uncovered things that I never realized were affecting my life in such significant ways. Amy is the best!
I love her
She was very helpful and opened my eyes to things I had not thought of in my issues.
She’s awesome really helped me understand my feelings and provided a solution
My very first therapy meeting with Amy was great. She listened carefully and provided me with action steps to take to help with my situation. Amy provides a safe and comfortable space for me to share my challenges in life. So far so good. I look forward to future sessions with her.
