I have been doing counseling for over 35 years. When I lived in Pennsylvania, I worked as a school counselor in a high school for 25 years and also maintained a private practice. Since moving to Florida, I work in a private practice in which I specialize in both adolescents and adults. I also work with families and couples. I worked at Better Help before and formed many successful relationships with clients. I consider myself to be an eclectic counselor who is genuine, supportive, and empathetic. I have been in therapy many times and definitely understand how helpful it can be to have someone who is in your corner, advocating and believing solely in you. I consider myself liberal and non-judgmental and I would be surprised if there was something you could tell me that I have not heard before, I also have a strong sense of humor and know that humor has saved me many times from my own issues. I received my Master's degree in 1980 in Marriage, family, and Child Counseling, but I consider that my life experience just as important in having added to my counseling skills. Many counselors can learn from books, but I incorporate all I have learned in my own life experience into the work I do with clients. Let's talk.
- Stress, Anxiety

Amy was a true gem! She helped me realize many things about myself and what I know now to be a family history and a genetic component to what I have going on. My mindful and soul searching journey back to myself and my husband could not have happened without her. Do yourself a favor and talk and listen to her. Thank you again so very much!! I’ll never be able to repay you for what you have given me.
Amy is helping me work through a bunch of trauma that I have been through in the past few years that I have tried to deal with myself. And I am finding out I can't do this alone! I am so glad I found BetterHelp and they matched me with her!
She is very kind and understands I also have trouble with my special needs.
Amy helped me immensely with managing my anxiety and anxious thought patterns. She helped me learn coping mechanisms and put a lot of things into a manageable perspective. After a few weeks of her kind, courteous, and prompt replies, I'm feeling better than I have in months. Thank you, Amy!
I have not been with Amy very long but in the short time she has helped me tremendously. She responds quickly and is truly amazing at what she does.
It's been really nice to have someone listen when it's so difficult to let my feelings out. I like the way Amy is guiding me and feel I've made progress in such a short time and can't wait for the adventure to continue. I always look forward to her messages -- knowing they will lift me up.
Amy has been available and accessible to me during a busy, confusing time in my life. She’s a great listener, checks in on me regularly, and makes time to spend working with me on the things I need to talk about.
