About me
Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor who brings a holistic, integrative approach to her work. She holds MS degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Holistic Nutrition/Herbalism, a BA in Education , and is a certified Ayurvedic Counselor and certified Neurofeedback Clinician. Amy's focus is on the connection between mind, body, and spirit to support meaningful, lasting change, with 25+ years as a 1st–8th grade educator and 10+ years training faculty and family systems in Waldorf methods before becoming a licensed counselor.
Amy brings a holistic approach to her work with clients, one that prioritizes finding balance by assessing and adapting one's patterns. Her warm and empathetic approach helps clients confront their difficulties, fostering resilience and empowering them to reclaim control through awareness and acceptance in their lives.
Amy enjoys working with adults, teenagers, and children, using a multi-modal approach. Her work is influenced by education and experience with mindfulness, yoga, sacred spiritual texts, attachment theory, internal family systems theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Theory.
