About Me

Welcome! My name is Angelica Quick. I hold a master’s degree in counseling, and I am a National Board Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas. I have more than 25 years of experience as a mental health professional including direct counseling as well as case management and service coordination for individuals with mental illness as well as intellectual developmental disabilities. I have aided in accessing medical, social and educational services that help individuals and families achieve a better quality of life. I have extensive experience in effective counseling, crisis prevention and management, assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic activities. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families. I integrate an eclectic approach by focusing on the emotional, physical, mental and social wellbeing of each client. I provide therapy for marital and relationship problems, family dysfunction, issues with adolescents along with grief recovery. I have worked with clients diagnosed as bipolar and schizophrenic and persons working to overcome drug and alcohol addiction. Upon request, I can serve clients who desire a faith-based approach as well. My goal as a counselor is not to change you. Change is your choice. My goal is to build awareness, compassion, understanding, respect, empathy and acceptance toward self and others and to develop one’s full potential and ability to cope.

I look forward to working with you.

Angelica was quick to pinpoint what my primary concerns are and provide me with appropriate resources to help me combat my anxiety.

Angelica is very professional and engaging. Most important she listens and provide feedback that actually helps. I feel so comfortable speaking with her considering I am private person. Thank you Angelica for being the person you are and helping when needed. Heaven sent!!

Having originally being hesitant which was due to unknown anxieties to try counselling the experience I’ve received from Angelica has been life changing although there’s a long way to go, I have lost my stigma about mental health. I speak openly about good and bad days, about how counselling can help and actively support others in starting it themselves where needed. All thanks to the reception and guidance I received from Angelica which has changed my outlook on life completely.

Angelica is a fantastic therapist. She uses a CBT approach alongside Solution-Focused Therapy. In our first session, she not only made me feel comfortable, but she also made me feel hopeful again. I also really enjoy her holistic approach to therapy; she not only focuses on what is going on mentally but asks about other factors that may be impacting your life. These coping skills have helped me be happier in my everyday life and skills I will continue to use for the rest of my life. I am thankful for having a therapist who took the time to listen to me, challenge me and give me hope again.

Angelica is an excellent councillor, this is my first time speaking to a professional so I’ve been taking things slow but she is amazing at understanding the situation and going at your own pace
