About Me

Hello, I am Angelo Maurice Covington (Maurice), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. I studied at Appalachian State University (North Carolina) and at the University of Iowa. Living in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Iowa has provided me a chance to live around a variety of individuals in different cultural environments around the country. Therefore, my therapeutic approach is varied and open people from all walks of life. My main focus is helping you find ways to be your main support.
I normally provide a mix of Person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I feel that it is best to allow you the opportunity t tell your story in an open environment with guidance on developing coping strategies or setting goals that will be effective and useful for your personal growth.

When I am not providing assistance and therapy to the individuals I serve, I enjoy reading books (suspense, crime, biographies), riding bikes, and spending time with my family.

If you are ready to tell your story, find errors in your thinking, and set on your path of healing, I am the person for you. I am excited to have the opportunity to assist you along this journey.

Angelo Covington is absolutely amazing. He pushed me in a positive way to get to the root of my issues and gave me numerous ways to work around those issues. He also really helped me open my eyes to how the way I handled situations really affected the people around me and that I care about. I made a lot of progress while working with him.

Angelo Covington is great. He was very intuitive to my needs and asked just the right questions to get me to open up. He was able to quickly pinpoint my troubles and knew exactly what to do to help.
Thank You, Angelo.

I've thoroughly enjoyed having Angelo as a therapist. He has been an excellent listener and provider of guidance. He would be the first therapist I talk to whenever I need another therapist and I've already recommended betterhelp.com to another friend.

Wonderful, attentive and observant counselor. Ask all the right questions and makes sure he gets the details. Able to understand how you need to hear things in order for you to make progress to make a difference in your issues. Great at making time for sessions and working around schedules. Just easy to talk too and all around great at what he does.
