Hello, and congratulations on taking a big first step on the path to becoming a happier, healthier you.
I help people along their paths with a primary focus, not on your diagnosis, but on the symptoms that are causing difficulty in your daily functioning. In order to do that, we'll utilize interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and a variety of other treatment modalities depending on your individual needs.
I hold a license in Clinical Psychology from the State of California. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Widener University in Pennsylvania in 2008. I have worked in a variety of treatment settings, which has afforded me the opportunity to work with clients with a wide range of concerns. Some of these concerns include motivation, depression, anxiety, communication issues, anger management, relationship issues, and transgender issues.
My therapeutic style is warm and inviting. I am accepting of all individuals regardless of race, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation. We will work together to develop an individualized treatment plan designed to help move you from where you are on your life path to where you'd like to be. My goal is for each of my clients to feel accepted, seen, heard, and respected throughout our therapeutic relationship.
Additional areas of focus: Addictions, LGBT, Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Parenting issues, Career difficulties, Compassion fatigue, Abandonment, BDSM, Kink, Alternative Sex Culture, Caregiver Issues and Stress, Chronic Pain Illness and Disability, Communication Problems, Control Issues, First Responder Issues, Forgiveness, Gender Dysphoria, Guilt and Shame, Intellectual Disability, Isolation/Loneliness, Mood Disorders, Prejudice and Discrimination, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Self-Love, Sexuality, Social Anxiety and Phobia, Women's Issues, Workplace Issues, Young Adult Issues

Dr. Fields has been very helpful with reminding me to focus on the positives. She has also been great at providing the appropriate resources to help work through my difficult thought processes. When I am stuck on those "what if" anxious thoughts, she has helped me work through the best case and worst case scenarios so that we can both formulate a realistic solution. I would recommend her as a therapist to individuals who suffer from anxiety and need lots of positive reminders of their individual progress.

Dr. Fields has blown me away with her ability to quickly understand and support me. She is so open-minded and I feel welcome to share my true feelings and experiences. I’ve already felt so much better and it’s only been a few weeks. Very grateful for Dr. Fields and BetterHelp!
