About me

Hi! I am Dr. Ashley Bordelon, a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst living in Oregon. I received my Master's degree in 2006 and worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor prior to working with children and families for the next decade. I returned to school for my Ph.D., which I received in 2018, at Louisiana State University. I completed my internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I am a licensed psychologist in Maryland and Oregon. My experience in diagnosis and treatment of disorders ranges from childhood externalizing disorders (challenging behavior, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.) to internalizing disorders, such as anxiety and depression, in adults.

My therapeutic techniques center around the underpinnings of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Mindfulness, values-based living, and behavior modification are all parts of this process. I will help guide you to learn to live with your feelings and thoughts and not against them, while helping you change your behavior to live closer to your personal values for the long-term.

Please remember that BetterHelp is not intended for crisis therapy. If you are feeling suicidal, please call 911 or go to the hospital. Additional resources can be found at https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org. Clients who are experiencing these symptoms will be referred to in-person therapy or another therapist on BetterHelp due to the nature of services provided online.

I am not able to treat the following conditions: eating disorders, addiction disorders, and personality disorders. I am not available for couple's therapy.

I look forward to working with you on your journey!

Dr. Ashley has been amazing. She helped me learn coping mechanisms to help with my anxiety, ADHD, and autism that all really help my day-to-day life. I finally feel like I can live my life without having to talk to her every week because everyday isn’t as hard as it used to be. I truly love and appreciate her. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ashley to anyone looking for a therapist who will listen, advise, and push your limits.

As someone who has been in and out of therapy for most of my life, my experience with Dr. Borderlon has been my favorite yet. In the couple of months I’ve been working with her, I have had multiple breakthroughs and gained so much insight on my behavioral patterns. I always feel heard and supported. I have been able to tackle a plethora of issues with her guidance and the tools she has shared with me. Absolutely wonderful experience and I look forward to the remainder of our therapeutic relationship.
