Dr. Ashley Bordelon

(PhD, BCBA-D)

About Me

Hi! I am Ashley Bordelon, a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst living in Oregon. I received my Master's degree in 2006 and worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor prior to working with children and families for the next decade. I returned to school for my Ph.D., which I received in 2018, at Louisiana State University. I completed my internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I am a licensed psychologist in Maryland and Oregon. My experience in diagnosis and treatment of disorders ranges from those typically seen in childhood (challenging behavior, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.) to anxiety and depression.

My therapeutic techniques center around the underpinnings of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Mindfulness, values-based living, and behavior modification are all parts of this process. I will help guide you to learn to live with your feelings and thoughts and not against them, while helping you change your behavior to live closer to your personal values for the long-term.

I look forward to working with you on your journey!

I have never done any kind of online counseling before so I was nervous to see what was going to happen. I have had trouble in the last seeing a therapist in person and spending so much time finding a good match. But with Dr. Bordelon I felt comfortable right away and new she was a great fit.

Calming, caring, quick to listen, slow to speak. Feels like I'm the only person in the room.
