About Me

Counseling may be one of the most amazing journeys that you take in life, and I'd be honored to help guide you as you take those first steps toward greater self-awareness. I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed chemical dependency counselor in Texas with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist in a variety of settings, including a private practice, community mental health center, behavioral health hospital, and adult/juvenile probation departments. I've provided counseling services to adults, children, and adolescents experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, family/marital problems, career challenges, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, ODD, Conduct Disorder, substance use disorders, self-harming behaviors, anger control issues, and various personality disorders. I also have experience working with clients who have experienced physical, emotional, and sexual trauma/abuse.

My counseling approach combines cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused therapies and is always tailored to suit the needs of each individual client. I believe in empathy, understanding, respect, trust, and provide a non-judgmental atmosphere in which my clients can grow and discover. I will not pretend that I have all the answers, but I will work to the best of my ability to help you find yours.

Ashley has been very attentive to my situation and my questions. Since I have started my sessions, I have felt very hopeful. Even if I haven’t found a solution or reasoning, I feel good just being able to talk to her about my life and how I feel.

I'm extremely lucky to have had her as my therapist. Looking for therapists can be scary because it can be a hit or miss a lot of the times which can be discouraging. Betterhelp was fantastic in finding a fantastic one for me. Never have I felt judged about anything I share, and everything i do share with her is met with empathy, compassion, and understanding. Shes extremely good at establishing trust which I believe is one of the most important things in therapy. She has also been such a great help in helping me articulate what it is I'm feeling. I've loved working with her and would highly recommend her.
