About me
My name is Aubrey and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Sociology with a minor in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Maryville University. I completed my master’s degree in professional counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindenwood University in 2020. I am a member of the American Counseling Association. I have obtained certifications in Disaster and Distress Helpline (DDH), Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
I have experience working with people in crisis, trauma, survivors of domestic violence, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, and people dealing with suicidal ideations. My specialty is in personality disorders and anxiety. I am eager and ready to work with all populations. I am diverse, compassionate, and openminded. I realize that change can be scary, and that asking for help takes immense courage. I hope to provide a space for clients to express past and present concerns while collaborating to identify the best coping skills and strategies to meet their individual goals. My goal is to make you feel heard, validated, and accepted. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

I have only been talking to her for a short period yet I feel like she understands a lot of what I'm going through. I was nervous about therapy but she's made this a good experience for me.

I never understood myself as much as I do until I met Aubrey. She is amazing! It’s like having a regular conversation but no judgement or fear. Aubrey creates a safe space in a way that I have not very often experienced. I always feel better about myself and feel supported. It allows me to understand myself better and understand those around me better also.

Aubrey is an amazing amazing therapist and even though we only had a few sessions, I could tell she is the kind of therapist that you can stick with and make a lot of progress with. She's so attentive, laid back, understanding, helpful and light-hearted.
