Barry Parker, LCSW-C
About me
Hello, My name is Barry Parker. I am licensed in Indiana with 26 years of professional work experience. I have seen it all, during my years, not much surprises me. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & coping with grief and loss. I have worked with children as young as 5, teenagers (who often are not that accepting to therapy) and to adults as old as 107. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. My role to refine, define and develop existing and new tools in your tool bag to take on life. You are taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life, which takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
I am a animal lover, have 3 dogs and 4 cats, not to mention chickens and rabbits. I am easy going and do not use a lot of Therapy Speak, I tend to talk with my clients as I would with anybody else. Using my skills to connect the dots of what's going on in your life, to make sense of it, the best I can.
Hope to see you soon,
I'll leave the light on.
Barry

Barry has been the best for me. He really listened to me and had a lot of great suggestions for me to heal from a breakup. I would highly recommend Barry. He would even send me a message to check on me when I didn’t schedule an appointment for a week. Very attentive and responsive. Really seems to care.

Barry is a very reliable and understanding person. He is calming and easy-going, which is a great personality to have as we discuss difficult topics. I really appreciate that he is a Christian. As such, we can discuss the spiritual aspects of life and healing. It is helpful that he offers prayers forsupport as we search for Truth.

Barry is genuine and really listens. We’ve only just started our journey so I’m only speaking from the few sessions we’ve had so far but I really think he’s trying to get to know the inner me. The person that not everyone else gets to see. I like his feedback and he feels like a safe place for me to confide.
