About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri and I have been in the field for over 7 years now. I have worked with various populations over the years with a wide variety of concerns, ranging from psychiatric conditions, to addictions, trauma, homelessness and even domestic violence. I have obtained advanced training in the treatment of trauma.

My counseling style is warm, empathetic and interactive. I believe that my clients are the experts of their own lives and it is my honor to help them find the options, skills and perspectives that can empower them to make changes, to heal and to live their best lives. My approach combines a strengths-based perspective with solution-focused brief therapy, humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I am always open to feedback from my clients, regarding the sessions, what they find to be helpful/unhelpful, progress, switching counselors, questions, etc. I encourage honesty and transparency as this will help to improve rapport and the therapeutic alliance. I believe in having and maintaining appropriate boundaries within the therapeutic alliance between clients and I.

It takes courage to seek help and a willingness to make changes that pave the way to a happier, more fulfilling life. We will work together as a team to address and work on what is most important to you. You don't have to do this alone.

I look forward to serving you!

My hours for sessions are Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 3.30 pm and Friday 8 am to 11.30 am, central standard time. I am accessible through messaging at all times of day and generally respond back between the hours of 7 am through 7 pm, Monday through Friday. I also respond to messages on the weekend. I am slower to respond to messages during sessions/back to back sessions, holidays, and in the evenings. The counseling sessions are only 30 minutes long, so no need to worry about the session taking up too much of your time! I can only see members who live in the state of Missouri.

I haven't been working with Beverly for a super long time, but she is so supportive and positive, and makes it easy to keep up with yourself. I'm able to send her my journal entries and she always gives me things to think about as well as a pat on the back when I'm successful in working towards my goal.

Beverly is a complete sweetheart, she helps me navigate day to day issues as well as trauma. I always look forward to our talks, and she feels more like talking to a friend than anything. She’s very empathetic and understanding, offers compassion, and takes the time to really listen and understand. All of her advice has slowly changed my life for the better. I love her! Absolutely would recommend. ❤️

Beverly is very informative and encouraging. This is exactly what I need I am always the one encouraging my family to keep going and move forward...I didn't know that's what I needed until she did it and it encouraged me to keep going with the things I needed to better myself.

Beverly has helped me a lot in the short time I’ve been working with her. Beverly truly listens and provides feedback that is helpful, and truly insightful. I felt comfortable opening up to Beverly because she truly understands, and is nonjudgemental of my struggles. I would highly recommend Beverly to others struggling with issues she specifically treats. Beverly is awesome!

Positive, empathetic, gentle and real. Beverly has been incredible for me. In the short time I've been discussing things with her, she has already given great confidence in going forward by helping me develop healthy habits versus older negative habits. This is precisely what I was looking for in counseling...not talking to someone endlessly who never gives guidance or advice or suggests new ways of thinking. She's everything I was looking for and I'm excited to see how else she will help me process and grow.

I’ve had the pleasure of being counseled by Beverly for just a little over a week now, and I couldn’t possibly be more happy with my experience. She has listened intently and also given me questions to answer to help me further understand my own issues. She’s very knowledgeable in the mental health aspect of things and she shows me nothing but encouragement and reassurance. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for help in her area of expertise.
