Hello. My name is Beverly Vanover and I have been a mental health therapist since 2013. I graduated from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR with my Master’s of Science Degree in Community Counseling. I was born in California and moved to Arkansas with my family as a child. I currently live in northwest Arkansas.
My experience in the field of mental health includes working as a community-based therapist, school-based therapist, hospital-based therapist and therapeutic day treatment therapist. I have experience facilitating mental health and 12-step program groups for the community, as well as in the institutional setting. I am a distance credentialed counselor (DCC) and a nationally certified counselor (NCC).
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and Texas. I have a passion for learning about, discussing and treating symptoms of emotional dysregulation often associated with codependency, love addiction and attachment/abandonment wounds that create fear of intimacy problems.
I want my clients to be partners in their healing. I want them to understand how powerful their minds are - how mind and body are connected. Healing of issues related to love addiction, relationships, anxiety, life transitions, lack of fulfillment or adjustment to change are possible. We will get through this together.
You want to be HEARD- I get it. You want to find your voice - I know that. If it is important to you, it is important to me! I know you are tired of doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. You want to get control of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
People notice my passion for working to help them heal, feel heard, achieve goals and live the life they want to be living. I strongly relate to the term "wounded" healer so that means that I am compassionate FOR and empathic TO your needs. You will feel understood and cared for. Contact me to schedule an appointment. I can help you improve the quality of your life. Let's start today!
- Stress, Anxiety
I also have experience in Addictions, Family, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Intimacy-related, Eating, Sleeping, Parenting, Self esteem, Career, Bipolar

Beverly is very attentive, professional and offers absolutely great counseling.
After years of dealing as best as I could with my depression and anxiety I thought that therapy wouldn't help me. Working with Beverly proved me wrong. She has my best interests at heart, and counseling has become a daily relief that makes life more than just manageable.
Bev does an awesome job during your sessions of allowing you to feel what you are feeling. She really works to understand what are going through and help you work your way out of it instead of telling you how to do it, which is a much harder, but much more rewarding way of doing it. She has a lot of tools at her disposal and provides them based on what you are talking with her about. I feel like she genuinely cares about what you are going through and knows how hard it is for people to even take this step, so she takes the measures to make you feel comfortable to be open and honest.
Beverly has really made a strong connection with me very early on. The worksheets and session chat rooms make it easy for me to get help with problems quickly and we can identify areas that I need help in. I truly appreciate this feature because when we have our live session she's already been caught up to everything that's been going on and we can address this problems, instead of the traditional counseling where you go and spend the first 30 minutes talking about your issues and problems you're going through. Beverly is genuine about knowing where I come from and knowing how to explain things to me that make no sense. I'm learning many techniques to help me manage my anxiety. I'm becoming more grounded and I know my family feels that as well. I've done therapy on and off for years and no one has made such an impact as Beverly has. Her Christian perspective is the steady hand in my walk with the Lord. She's pointing me towards him and her biblical knowledge re confirms what I know in my heart but that sometimes life tends to overwhelm. I'm so blessed that I found better help and that led me to Beverly.
Beverly has helped me so much just in the short time we have been communicating. I am so thankful and blessed to have found BetterHelp.

I signed up for BetterHelp about a month ago due to my life spiraling out of control. I was struggling with alcohol and drug abuse, depression and was in a relationship that was falling apart. My first counselor helped me get somewhat back in control of my life, but she wasn't a perfect fit. Then I was matched with Beverly and she has been amazing. I told her my issues with my previous counselor and she listened and I could tell she actually cared, and made sure to always respond in a very timely fashion. She has given me fantastic guidance and advice, and given me the tools and resources I needed to get my life back on track. We are still working on some things but I can honestly say I'm in a better place now than I have been in years, and it's all thanks to this site and specifically Beverly. I would highly recommend her to anyone struggling with the same things as me, especially relationship issues.
Beverly is a great counselor and very respectful. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist online.
