Blayne Wherrett
About me
I am a credentialed therapist and Clinical Supervisor in the UK with 8 years of professional work experience and a registered with the BACP.
I have experience working with clients across primary and private healthcare settings, both online and face to face, creating and offering a space to feel listened to, a space without judgement, a space to explore and ultimately a space to reach new goals.
Specialising in helping clients with relationship issues, stress and anxiety, family conflicts, motivation, self esteem, confidence, depression and grief and loss. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I myself am a humanistic and person centred counsellor. I am here to listen, reflect and guide you to your own answers.
I share with clients the counselling relationship is like a big puzzle, we work together to turn over different pieces, exploring what these pieces mean to you and and explore how they may affect your emotions and behaviour in daily life.
This can create a connection, from our past and present, allowing us to see a new path into the future. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
Being a humanistic counsellor, I will offer you questions that allow you space for reflection and growth. I am there to help, guide and support you with any issues that you may share. My priority is to learn more about you in a relaxed space, to find and tailor an approach that works for you the client to meet your own goals.
Every one of us is different. I always strive to to deliver and offer you various tools and resources to help and guide you through any issues that you may be struggling with.
It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I check messages here a few times per day Monday - Friday between 9am-6pm and I will always attempt respond as quickly as I can within 24 business hours.
'An active mind gets tired just like an active body. It is important to find time to process and let go of our heavy thoughts. Letting our mind rest, is a vital part of our own recovery and healing process'
I look forward to meeting with you!
