About me

Hello,
My name is Brandi and I am Licensed Professional Counselor, who is currently a Ph.D. Student in Marriage & Family Therapy. With over 13 years of experience working for the State of Texas, I attribute a lot of her client’s success to their openness to feedback and their willingness to process through uncomfortable habits/situations. It takes a lot of courage to decide to go to therapy, and finding the right therapist is important too. My priority and passion is to ensure that your mental and emotional health needs are met. Some of the goals of therapy may look like one reorienting their focus, transformative thinking, redefining norms, and being willing to make tough decisions in order to ensure overall health and wellness for themselves and those around them. When you step into the therapy room, you are entering a non-judgmental space with someone who cares about your overall well-being just as much as you do!

My hope is that the counseling room would provide you to feel seen, safe, soothed and secure. It is my goal that you become the absolutely best version of yourself. I am appreciative and grateful for the opportunity to join you and walk alongside you on this your journey. You are one action and mindset away from emotional and mental wellness. My greatest aim is to empower you to your desired level of growth to eventually get along without a therapist, so that you can ultimately be your best self! That is what therapy is all about.

I look forward to working with you,
Brandi Sewell, M.A. LPC

Brandi has been empowering me to use the tools we practice in sessions to manage my anxiety so that I can feel stronger and more capable for doing hard things. She’s a nurturing listener who makes me feel safe and heard when my emotions feel difficult to handle.

When I started therapy I was in a really toxic relationship. It was causing me so much anxiety and stress that was pouring into all aspects of my life. Brandi helped me navigate my wants, needs, and goals and how to communicate them clearly to my partner. Without her guidance, I'm not sure if I would have been able to outgrow my situation. I am incredibly thankful for her and I recommend her to anyone that needs therapy for personal growth, relationships, and family dynamics.

She is an incredibly wonderful therapist who always knows what questions to ask to get to the heart of the matter. She provides amazing thoughtful tips to take care of yourself, even when the situation is out of your control. I always left my sessions feeling better and more empowered to make positive changes and regain control of my feelings.

Brandi has always supported me and worked to help remind me of my purpose and goals in life, and a lot of her wisdom has helped me start getting back up on my feet.
