Breanna "Bre" Spehn, LPC
About me
Hi, I’m Bre, preferred pronouns being she or they. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Oregon, with over seven years of experience. I have worked with individuals of all ages, with different backgrounds, and across a variety of settings (juvenile detention center, temporary housing placement for individuals within the foster care system, multiple shelters for individuals experiencing being unhoused, alternative high school, and local community crisis center).
Within sessions, I take the approaches of client-centered and strengths-based counseling while remaining rooted in mindfulness. I have gained the insight and skills to show up fully for myself and others in session. I have cultivated self-awareness through meditation classes and retreats that have aided my own self-discovery of inherent compassion in order to guide others with humility and grace.
My Education and Additional Trainings:
• Naropa University, Master of Arts, Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology
• University of Missouri St. Louis, Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies, Art Therapy
• Emotional Frequency Technique (EFT), Level I & II
• 500 Hour Holistic Yoga Teacher Training (YTT)
• Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Diversity and inclusion are crucial for me in my personal life, and in my career as a therapist. While working from a social justice lens, I invite conversation regarding bias, privilege, and power. Throughout my diverse experiences in the field, I have increased my competency as well as my confidence in being of service to others. Let's create a supportive and safe space together that is unique to your needs as an individual.

Bre's incredible n intuitive. Shes very receptive to what I have to say and makes me feel understood. I'm working with her in the ways that I can and shes been more than accommodating. I changed therapist a few times before landing on Bre and grateful I did.
Highly recommend her.

She’s just simply the best! You’d have to take my word for it. I’ve never felt so seen or understood or normal with any of the therapists I’ve worked with before, and there have been plenty. :)

I truly believe I would be able to be finding the solace in my chaotic life if Bre was not helping me to sharpen my mental tool belt. I feel safer with her than any other therapist I've worked with and never felt so seen.

Bre has been a welcoming and supportive presence from the very beginning of my therapy sessions with her. She was exactly the kind of support I needed when I found her and she has been great beyond the initial visit. She responds to messages quickly and it makes me feel heard
