Hi! My name is Candice and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor; holding my independent license in both Kentucky and Ohio. I have been working in the mental health field for over 5 years. I have served as both an individual and group counselor for people struggling with anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, communication troubles, family and/or relationship conflict, and much more. I have extensive knowledge in substance abuse issues, having worked with that population for nearly 5 years.
I obtained my bachelor's degree in anthropology and master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, both from Northern Kentucky University. I have always been interested in learning about people through their stories and decided to become a counselor in hopes of making a positive impact in people's lives.
I understand that seeking counseling can be a big (and sometimes scary) step, therefore I embrace my clients with kindness and without judgement. I enjoy assisting clients in identifying their own strength and using these to achieve the life they desire (and deserve). I do this by utilizing mostly CBT, ACT, and MBSR strategies, tailoring these to my client's needs.
I am grateful for the privilege to work along side of you as you take this step in your life!

I have only been working with Candice for a short period of time, but she is already helping me work through a lot of the things I’m dealing with. She is very empathetic and compassionate!
Candice has been so helpful for me. I never thought I’d seek help or counseling but I’m so glad I did and I’m so glad I was paired with Candice. She cares genuinely and checks in on me throughout the week which means the world to know that someone is checking in on you.
I have found it easy to chat with Candice. I was a little unsure of using a chat format but it has been great! She is caring and thoughtful, and I am glad to have found her.
Candice Alig is wonderful! She is timely, accommodating and she tailors the therapy to fit the person. Even when I do not text because I'm struggling, she makes sure to reach out and so makes it easier for me to continue my therapy. I'm very thankful for Candice.
Candice is incredible. She listens, she's personable. She knows what I mean when I describe how I'm feeling. She doesn't judge me for my mistakes. She holds me accountable in a way that resonates with me. Every when I come to her feeling lost, confused, and stuck, she helps build a game plan and makes me feel hopeful and reminds me that as long as I can put in the work, I can get through this
Candice has helped me realize a lot about myself in such a short time. She is professional, caring, and has been very helpful.
Candice Alig is an amazing counselor! The worksheets are super helpful, and if you can't finish them, she will help you in your live chat session. I was a bit apprehensive of the live chat sessions, but it is super easy to use and she responds incredibly fast! Candice is super prepared, knows her stuff, and is incredibly helpful. I have seen a difference even in just a few sessions. Thank you so much!
