About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, with over 12 years experience. My approach is client centered, transparent, genuine, & empathetic. I like to meet clients where they are & I enjoy helping them reach their goals. This is achieved by mostly utilizing Cognitive Behavioral therapy with a mix of solution focused therapy, family systems & a very effective strategy known as Motivational interviewing.

While I specialize in working with clients who are having difficulty coping with stress, loss, neglect, and abuse; I also am very good at working with clients who are dealing with self esteem, relationship, OCD, depression, chronic health conditions, and Substance Abuse.

From time to time, we all need a listening ear & someone to reflect what you have experienced. Let me applaud you on taking the steps needed to overall have a better quality of life & ultimately, to feel better & have more insight. I look forward to meeting and talking with you.

I've been working with Carla for 2 years now and the level of growth that I've experienced is amazing. She listens, is attentive, very knowledgeable and allows herself to be a vessel when necessary. I am grateful to have been led to her in my journey to healing. I now have the tools necessary to successfully get through anxiety or depression.

I was new to therapy, and while the first therapist I chose was lovely, my intuition was telling me to look again. Then I found Carla, oh what a gem! I enjoy speaking with Carla because while she is professional, you also feel as though you are speaking with one of your best friends. The cool thing about her is you don't have to be concerned about her spilling your tea to anyone else :) She listens and allows you to express your feelings and what is going on in your life. Once I complete a call with her, I feel lighter and usually have had a wonderful laugh or 20 in our sessions. I can be open and transparent about my relationship with God and anything else that is important to me. I do not have a loss for words, I talk a lot, and she takes it all in. That in itself is no small fete! LOL

I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a therapist that truly listens, treats you with respect, encourages you to do better, and is just a joy to talk to.

Carla is very understanding in what my needs are mentally. Going through a lot of mental exhaustion from traumatic experiences in my life recently, Carla has helped me navigate what I need personally compared to what i think others need from me. She’s a 10/10!
