Hello! Welcome! I would like to take this opportunity to share with you a few things about myself and my approach to counseling.
My name is Carolyn Fields and I am a Texas-based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from LeTourneau University. I am passionate about life and the innate potential of each person. Counseling is something I chose to pursue because of my love for life and the freedom that comes from health and happiness. I believe that counseling has tremendous potential to make a positive impact in one's life and relationships! Counseling is a process, and when approached with openness, many great things can emerge from this dynamic endeavor.
I have experience counseling with and supporting others with varied backgrounds on a wide range of concerns. I have counseled with others in the area of trauma, abuse, low self-esteem, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, panic, grief/loss, divorce/separation, general life-challenges, personal conflicts/distress and skill-building/development. Counseling is a collaborative journey that aims to bring about desired results. I am happy to explore and discuss your concerns to consider what a counseling journey might look like for you. My theoretical approach to counseling tends toward CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Existential Therapy. I seek to meet people where they are and tailor my approach to each client's individual personality and specific needs.
Please note that my services are not intended for those in immediate danger or harm; or those in the midst of emergency circumstances. Please call 911 or local emergency services should you find yourself in danger, or in an emergency situation and in need of help.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Carolyn Johnson Fields. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Carolyn has been a fantastic therapist thus far. She responds to my journals rather quickly, and is always available to talk in case of emergency. She listens well and offers great insight.
Carolyn is legitimately so wonderful and amazing! I absolutely love that she is my therapist! She is incredibly knowledgeable, and also kind, patient and very relaxed. I’m so grateful to have someone I can talk to who I know cares about my therapy journey, and who always accepts me as I am.
Carolyn helped me during a transition out of a five year relationship that I was struggling to end. she is very grounded and encouraging. I appreciated her stable demeanor and being able to be vulnerable with her. Sometimes I would think I have no idea what I’m going to talk about with her but she was very professional and guided the session so it was always very helpful. I’m grateful for her professional skills/ counseling ability and support.
I’m really enjoying my time with her and feel like I’m moving towards a positive future.
Carolyn Johnson Fields is understanding and insightful. I needed someone to help me get my priorities straight and to help me navigate a time of significant change. She is doing that. Would completely recommend her!
