About Me

Welcome! Thank you for having the courage to change and grow through counseling. I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and English from Central Michigan University, a Masters in Guidance and Counseling Community Mental Health from Oakland University and a Specialization in School Counseling.

My approach is person centered. I understand that we all bring our one of a kind experience to the counseling process. Your uniqueness and individuality will be respected and honored in a safe, caring environment. My expertise is in situational anxiety and depression, self-confidence building, behavior change, and motivational understanding. I use a client centered approach, Mindfulness, Emotional Freedom Techniques. and CBT coupled with solution based counseling. I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. You will be listened to with deep respect, compassion, and sensitivity. If you are afraid, that you cannot change or grow, I will help you understand that this is possible. You may discover areas of strength that you were unaware of.

Catherine has a way of putting thing in perspective and showing new ways to approach situations that you previously haven’t thought of. She has a wonderful understanding of the human mind and behaviors and was able to make me feel comfortable within the first session. I am very lucky to work with her.
