Cecelia A. Maurer MA, LPC
*** Hours: M-F 6:00am-2:00pm. (On weekends I’m engaging in self-care, most likely out on a bicycle trail somewhere. I’m an early riser, and a true morning person, so I offer appointment times as early as 6am…or possibly earlier if needed. However, in the evening my brain is mush and I am all worded out- so I’m basically useless, therefore, my latest evening appt is 3:00pm.)
I am a professional counselor licensed in Texas with over 10 years of experience working as both a counselor and life/ academic coach. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, relationship issues, young adult issues, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I do not currently treat PTSD, trauma, severe mental health diagnosis, substance abuse issues, or depression with suicidal thoughts or ideation.
In addition to counseling, I have also worked in higher education as an adjunct instructor and as an academic coach.
My counseling style is warm and interactive, yet straightforward. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and short-term, solution focused counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I offer appointments M-F 6:00am -3:00pm
Change can be difficult but if you are ready to take the first step, I will be happy to help and support you in that effort.
I look forward to working with you!
