About me
From what I've observed personally, therapy is useful to anyone who is human. Why should you talk to a therapist instead of a friend or your mother? The difference is that therapists are expert listeners who do not judge, criticize, or contradict, but who want to hear everything you have to say and how you are feeling. You may want help discussing difficult thoughts and feelings or need guidance on particular issues, or you may not be sure how you feel! The therapy session offers a quiet and safe setting where you can feel free to say everything. And if you have trouble talking, the therapist can help with that too.
My mission is to offer that safe space where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment or criticism. Taking the first step to seek therapy takes courage. I’m here to support you in that process.

Cheryl is very nice and easy to talk to. I felt she understood and I could relate with her.

Great listener! Repeats back points and asks questions specifically relating to what you’re talking about. Allows you to lead the conversation on what you may need to talk about that day.
One thing I would change is when asking for any new coping skills or things to help in those times when you need the extra TLC for yourself, she doesn’t directly mention what recommendations she has. This may be because it’s still early on, so I am continuing to give more time for the relationship to grow, but even when I requested worksheets, she said she would send them that night, I gave her a day and messaged her reminding to do so if possible, no response and resent another message today. I would like to continue working on myself between our sessions and liked the idea of this app and therapy type, but if I’m not able to help myself with the “one free group and individual session” then that isn’t helping me out at all. Will give it more time and submit another review at a later date, but Cheryl is an absolutely fantastic woman and would like to continue this, just maybe has too large of a patient portfolio at this time!

Cheryl hit the nail on the head by providing clarity to my thought and providing direction. She also helped me to arrive at the direction.

Cheryl was very receptive and helpful with ways to deal with my concerns. She didn't dominate the conversation, but at the same time, helped me to open up when I didn't know what to say.
