About me
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, relationship struggles, or the effects of past hurts that keep showing up in your life, you’re not alone. Many people reach out because they’re tired of the same patterns and want real tools to move forward.
I’m a Florida-licensed LMHC with more than 25 years of experience. I work in a direct but respectful way — I don’t sugarcoat things, but I don’t believe in tearing people down. My approach combines honest self-examination with practical strategies to help you change unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns so you can function better in your daily life and relationships.
As a practicing Christian, I’m comfortable incorporating biblical principles and scripture if that’s something you want. If faith isn’t part of what you’re looking for, we’ll focus on straightforward, evidence-based methods that fit your needs.
If you’re looking for honest, practical support focused on real and lasting change, send me a message.

I cannot say enough good things about my therapist. She has been a source of wisdom, encouragement, and support during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. She doesn’t just listen—she helps me process my thoughts, challenge unhealthy beliefs, and see situations from a healthier perspective.
Because of our sessions, I’ve noticed real growth in myself. I’m learning not to let my circumstances define me, to give myself grace, and to stand up for myself in ways I never did before. She has helped me realize that while I can’t control other people’s actions or feelings, I can control how I respond and how I care for myself.
After one particularly painful situation, I expected to fall apart like I would have in the past. Instead, I was able to process what happened, get up the next morning, go to the gym, and continue moving forward. That may seem small to some people, but for me it was evidence of real healing.
I’m especially grateful that she creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where I feel heard and understood while also gently challenging me to grow. I’m thankful for the role she’s played in helping me become stronger, healthier, and more confident. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist who truly cares and helps you make lasting progress.

Cheryl has taken the time to listen and give feed back. She has sent very helpful worksheets to me, checked in on me after tough sessions where I opened some old wounds and genuinely seems to care about my mental health. I have had several therapists over the years, and it usually takes me a while to get comfortable with them. However, I felt comfortable with Cheryl almost immediately. In fact I have already recommended her to a family member who isn't happy with their current therapist.

Cheryl has a way of getting to the heart of the matter quickly and can find patterns in behavior quickly. She is direct but kind and professional. She is always quick to respond no matter what day of the week it is and usually within 8 hours or less. I definitely recommend her.
