Hello! Thank you so much for reading my profile.
My name is Chisato, which means "a 1000 homelands." Just like my name, I try to be a "homeland" to people, where they can feel safe.
I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from University of California, Berkeley. While I was going to school, I decided that I wanted to branch outside my school to see what ways I can give back to the community, while also learning new skills. I found a passion and a love in rape crisis counseling. I volunteered as a rape crisis counselor for years, where I worked with children and adults, sexually exploited minors, police officers and hospital staff. I also helped train other rape crisis advocates too. :)
Afterward, I obtained my master's degree from Pepperdine University and became licensed as a marriage and family therapist and a licensed professional clinical counselor. I have a lot of experience with anyone ages 4 and up, as well as families and couples.
My passion is creating a safe place for you to explore your difficulties and to help you find new skills in dealing with them together.
I would love to speak with you more if you feel that we may be a good fit! :)

Having someone to help me work through my problems has been of most use. I'm very happy with Chisato and how she's helping me understand myself and my interactions with others. She's become part of my support network.
Chisato is an amazing counselor. She has been with me through some of my toughest time and I couldn’t have dealt with life situation without her. She is flexible, understanding and patient. All the tools she provided me were easy to do and effective. She really listens to you and wants to help you. I can’t thank her enough.
Chisato-san is amazing. She is really in your corner and really truly listens. She offers real life advice and experience. Even if you need someone to just hear you out I would recommend her. I can always count on her when I'm having bad anxiety. She helps get me through that and my other issues too.
Chisato is kind, on-time, helpful, and very accommodating. She is very supportive, and she checks-in with me often, even if we do not have a scheduled session which I really appreciate.
Chisato has been of great help for me. She is there for me when I need it. She listens to all my concerns. Has been available to talk on the phone. I feel that she actually cares about me and that she likes what she does. She is very knowledgeable and empathetic. I feel blessed that I got her as my counselor.
Chisato goes above and beyond to be responsive to messages and session requests. I always feel like I have her as a reliable resource while dealing with my anxiety. However she also provides me with exercises and guidance for how to handle anxiety when she's not around. I've enjoyed working with her to make my anxiety less of an effect on my life.
Chisato has really helped me to begin to rebuild and cherish my relationships. I am still learning on how to trust myself in my personal relationships but I am more hopeful than I was before talking with my counselor.
