About Me

Whether you are an adult or child, life can present with challenges and trials. You may feel overwhelmed or lost. Illness, divorce, death, new jobs, and change are times when we could use extra help. Adjusting to these challenges and figuring out how to cope can leave you stuck sometimes. You may be trying to find yourself again, or facing difficult decisions. Talking to a therapist can help you process your thoughts and feelings, moving you forward in this phase of your life.

I have been a licensed clinical social worker more than 20 years. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and solution-focused, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Techniques as well as relevant psychology theories. I believe we are each unique, even with shared experiences, and therapy should be tailored to the need of an individual.

I approach therapy as a partnership, where we work together toward a goal. That goal can be reducing distress related to anxiety, depression, and grief or addressing difficult life decisions or general coping. I am ready to ready to be a part of your journey and look forward to meeting you.

I feel very lucky and grateful to have been paired with Christina Macnamara for therapy sessions. She's very supportive and attentive to my concerns. She has gone above and beyond in offering different worksheets, articles, and helpful tools that aid in reaching my overall goal. She is amazing!! She makes me feel comfortable to speak about what I feel in all honesty. She is a great listener and encourager. She notices the small victories and makes sure to emphasize them. I love my sessions with her, highly recommend her!!

I have recommended Better Help to multiple friends of mine. It's so much better than going to an office. Christina is attentive and listens and I feel like she actually hears me. I very much appreciated all the questions I was asked on my intake to help match me with the right therapist for me. Better Help got it perfectly right on the first try!
